I just came in from the    www.qualitygemrough.com web site and they were up
and running ok an ready for business. In fact I found several items there I
intend to order after the first of the month.  They seem to have a very good
selection of good rough.

Subject: Ultra-tec for Lefties
Date: Thu, 17 Apr 2003 10:07:11 -0400
To: usfgfaceterslist@yahoogroups.com, Lapidary Arts and Faceters Digest
<lapidary@caprock-spur.com>
From: Roy Auerbach <raa@cinci.rr.com>

I recently had an e-mail conversation with Joe Rubin and mentioned that
I was someone who had a left handed Ultra-tec but didn't have a dial
indicator and that it was a shame that they didn't make them anymore.
Joe sent me back to tell me that his machine shop supervisor had
already pointed out to him that with CNC controls, it was no extra
effort to run off left handed bodies when they did their normal run of
right handed bodies.  They proceeded to run off 4 left handed bodies
which sold fast!

The upshot of this is that Ultra-Tec will again accept orders for left
handed dial indicators.  The web site may not be updated yet to indicate
this.  Delivery will depend on how many orders they get. If they get a
number of orders the delivery will likely be in 4-5 weeks. If not, it
may be roughly twice as long, waiting until they are ready for another
run of right handed bodies.

I'll be placing my order.
Roy
